12 arrested for hacking man to death in Kaduna mosque attack

Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 12 suspects involved in a mosque attack in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna South Local Government Area.

The incident occurred during Tahajjud prayers at Layin Bliya, Makwa Road in Rigasa, where a group of hoodlums from different areas attacked worshippers and fatally stabbed a 28-year-old man, Usman Mohammed.

Before security operatives arrived, the attackers had already killed Mohammed.

However, the police, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, swiftly apprehended 12 suspects, who reportedly confessed to participating in the attack. Authorities also recovered several weapons.

The police have launched a full-scale investigation to uncover further details and ensure justice.

Additionally, security has been reinforced around mosques, and the public has been urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.

The Kaduna State Police Command warned criminals to desist from such acts or face the full weight of the law.
