12 injured as Russia attack two Ukrainian cities

Published on April 10, 2025 at 09:32 AM

At least 12 people were injured after Russian drones attacked the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and the southern city of Mykolaiv overnight.

Two women were injured in the capital, where drones also sparked a fire at a storage facility and damaged residential buildings, the Kyiv city military administration said.

The Ukrainian air force said it repelled 85 out of 145 drones launched by Russia during its overnight attack, adding that another 49 did not reach their targets, likely due to electronic warfare countermeasures.

It, however, did not specify what happened to the remaining 11 drones.

According to regional governor Vitalii Kim, the overnight attack also injured 10 people in the southern city of Mykolaiv, adding that the Russian assault also damaged nine apartment buildings, 30 garages, and an administrative building.

Meanwhile, Russia denied targeting civilians, but thousands have been killed and injured in its invasion of Ukraine.
