Published on March 25, 2025 at 11:16 AM

Argentina forward, Angel Di Maria, has reacted to Barcelona winger, Raphinha using the ‘F' word to say that Brazil will beat Argentina in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Brazil and Argentina will clash on Tuesday at the Estadio Mas Monumental for the 2026 World Cup qualifying match.

Raphinha, who has been in top form Barcelona this season, had during an interview with Selecao legend, Romario, made some boasted comments ahead of the game.

He said that his side would beat Argentina silly and also tipped himself to be one of the scorers for his country.

He had said, “We’re going to give Argentina a beating, no doubt. Am I going to score? Yes. With everything. F**k them.”

Sportscenter ESPN put the interview up on social media and Di Maria was quick to respond.

The former Real Madrid, PSG and now Benfica man, who scored for Argentina in their 1-0 win over Brazil in the 2021 Copa America final, simply commented with three laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, the game will go on without both Lionel Messi and Neymar for the heated tie.

La Albiceleste will be without Messi, who withdrew from international duty due to an adductor issue.

Selecao are missing Neymar, who is out with a thigh injury.
