Published on March 26, 2025 at 05:48 PM

Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has reacted to his side's 2026 World Cup qualifier win against Brazil on Tuesday night.

Messi didn't feature in the encounter as Argentina thrashed Brazil 4-1 in Buenos Aires.

Four goals from Julián Álvarez, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister and Giuliano Simeone gave Lionel Scaloni's side the win over Brazil.

Reacting, Messi in a post on his Instagram story on Wednesday, congratulated his teammates for beating Dorival Junior's side.

“Inside, outside, wherever it may be with this National Team. Always SPEAKING through football,” Messi said.

“Congratulations on the great match you played last night and also on the win against Uruguay,” he wrote.

The result leaves Argentina top of the South American standings with 31 points from 14 matches.

Brazil, meanwhile, are in fourth position on 21 points.
