The Warriors of Zimbabwe will be looking to get their first win over the Super Eagles in 44 years when the two teams clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Tuesday.

The last time Zimbabwe beat Nigeria was in 1981, in a friendly match at home.

Since then, the two teams have met seven times with the Super Eagles winning four of those matches while three ended in a draw.

The Warriors have visited Nigeria only twice for a competitive game.

In the AFCON qualifier in 1989 and World Cup qualifier in 2005, losing 3 – 0 and 5 – 1 respectively.

Both teams battled to a 0-0 draw in friendly in Lagos in 2019.

The Super Eagles held Michael Nees' side to a 1-1 draw on matchday two of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
