2027: No vacancy for Jigawa number one seat – Senator Malam Madori tells contenders

Published on April 14, 2025 at 02:35 PM

Senator Abdulhamid Malam Madori, representing Jigawa North East Senatorial zone has said there is no vacancy in the Jigawa government house and the number one seat in 2027.

Speaking at a Citizens and Government Engagement Programme in Birniwa Local Government Area of the state on Sunday, Malori advised those who are dreaming of the number one seat in the state within the party and outside the party to end their ambitions as no vacancy in the governorship seat comes 2027.

The Senator explained that the governor's performance during his first tenure is remarkable and therefore he deserves to be re-elected in 2027.

Madori urged politicians in the state to rally behind Governor Namadi and support his re-election bid, rather than contesting against him.

“The present Governor, Umar Namadi, has done well in his first tenure, therefore no need for anybody to think of challenging him in the 2027 election.

“Governor Namadi deserves to serve his second term come 2027 because of his out standing performance,” he said.

DAILY POST findings showed that no fewer than six politicians within the ruling party APC and that of the oppositions are eyeing the number one seat in the coming 2027 gubernatorial election in Jigawa State.
