The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has said that accessible and affordable electricity is pivotal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration’s industrialisation agenda for Nigeria.

He disclosed this in his opening remarks on Thursday at the sixth Ministerial Briefing in Abuja.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the country’s electricity sector.

Idris stressed that Nigeria's industrialisation is impossible without accessible and affordable electricity.

“Electricity is important to achieving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration's industrialisation in Nigeria,” he said.

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, announced that the country had achieved its highest energy distribution at 5,801 megawatts.
