And even in his forties, Adam is still suffering the impacts from the injury.

He was even recently told by a doctor that he may be dying.

Speaking on the In Depth podcast, Adam told Graham Bensinger that his life has recently “been a nightmare”.

He explained that the tough three years he has endured left him “having spasms all over”.

Adam also shared how he now experiences “so much pain”.

Speaking to Graham, Adam shared: “They told me I was dying.

“Literally within this last year they told me that I had this disease called stiff person syndrome.

“That's when your muscles get so tight that you then you can no longer walk you can no longer move, then your heart will stop beating, because your heart is a muscle and it gets too tight to beat and then you die,” he explained.

LIFE EXPECTANCY SHOCK

He added: “And so essentially they the average life expectancy is six years for someone that has it.

“And they told me that I have that literally a month before my son Beau was born.

“So I'm like ‘Oh great now I'm going to die he's going to be 6 years old he's only going to know a crippled father.'

“And then they told me ‘We think you might not have that'. And then six months go by,” Adam went on, revealing how he “couldn't really move anymore”.

He then recalled how the doctors said: “We do we actually think you have it, go see the the guy that coined the phrase stiff person syndrome he's the the expert in the field.”

Adam then went to see the guy, who told him that he does not have it.

MISDIAGNOSIS HORROR

He recalled how the doctor told him: “This is from your accident from when you were a child, the spasms are a little unexplainable but it could just be you got so tight that your body doesn't know what to do with it so you're you're misfiring a little bit.”

So now Adam believes that getting physically fit during the pandemic may have triggered the painful reactions throughout his body.

“I think I just got so tight and so tightly wound, and my body has all these things that are a little wonky and a little wrong with it, that I just sort of snapped.

“I think I'm still dealing with it, but it's been three years now,” he said on the podcast.

Adam previously detailed his childhood accidenttoEntertainment Weeklyin 2016.

The accident happened when he was 11 years old.

He told the outler: “one buddy was across the street. He yelled ‘Come on!'” meaning “hurry up,” but he thought it meant “The coast is clear!”

He then walked with his bike onto the road, and was struck by an oncoming cement truck.

“They say the reason I lived was the bike took the hit first,” he said.

“I still slid 500 feet. Picked me up under the first two wheels and then spit me out.”

The actor then underwent 25 surgeries following the accident and still feels the impact of his injuries.
