Published on October 21, 2023 at 07:09 PM

The paramount ruler of Eket, Edidem Abia, has reminded Akwa United players to be disciplined and focused during the on-going Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Players and officials of the Promise Keepers paid a courtesy call to his place on Friday.

The delegation was led by the club chairman, Elder Paul Bassey, ahead of their match against Shooting Stars at the Eket Township Stadium.

Abia assured the delegation of support throughout their stay in Eket.

The team also paid a visit to the Executive Chairman of Eket local government council Honourable Akaniyene Tommey at his residence.

Akwa United will be playing their home matches at the Eket Township Stadium following the usage of the home ground for international matches.

The Fatai Osho’s side are winless in their three opening games of the NPFL season.
