Aldi shoppers spot Lynx Africa dupe for 79p after iconic deodorant discontinued as fan cries ‘we still have knockoffs”

FANS of the iconic Lynx Africa have been left gutted after the brand announced it's pulling the beloved scent from shelves.

But bargain hunters think they've sniffed out the perfect replacement.

While the official scent may have gone shoppers at Aldi reckon they've found a near-identical dupe, and it's just 79p.

Lynx broke the news on Instagram, revealing that the legendary fragrance is being discontinued, sparking disappointment among loyal users.

The post read: “You may have heard that our iconic Lynx Africa scent is getting discontinued.

“We know- it hurts (sorry if we've ruined your go-to fragrance) But don't worry, the rest of your faves are still here to keep you smelling fine, and who knows?

“Maybe one day, Lynx Africa will make a legendary comeback.”

“We appreciate your understanding during this period of adjustment and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

While the official scent may have gone (for now), shoppers at Aldi reckon they've found a near-identical dupe, and it's just 79p.

The Aldi version, part of the Lacura range, offers a warm and spicy scent, similar to what made Lynx Africa a staple in bathrooms up and down the UK for decades.

Lacura Men Desert Heat Body Spray (150ml) has been making waves online, with fans saying it smells just like the discontinued Lynx Africa.

One impressed shoppers said: “Great product, perfect for my requirements.”

One user commented: “

At least we will still have the knockoffs from Lidl and Aldi.”

Another commented: “It smells just like the Lynx Africa, I'm so happy.”

A third joked: “They may have discontinued Lynx Africa but thank god for Aldi dupes.”;
