THE cheeky fun on their Mediterranean home renovation shows has delighted BBC viewers â and now Alan Carr and Amanda Holden have been poached by Netflix.
It was thought they might have been in line for a big future with ITV next, after hits and its spin-off series in Spain, but I can reveal the streaming giant got in first.

A TV insider said: “The BBC One shows were hugely popular. Viewers love the spark between the two pals, which is keen to tap into as it expands its entertainment offering.
“The exact nature of the new show is under wraps. It is a departure from and ‘s renovation prog-ramme but still focuses on something close to their hearts.”;
judge Amanda was keen for comedian Alan to join the ITV show’s panel after left in 2022.
Boss Simon Cowell gave the job, but at least Alan got to host ITV’s Royal Variety Performance with Amanda last year.
Many thought they would remain ITV favourites, not least because Alan last year made a second run of his autobiographical comedy, Changing Ends, for the channel, and BGT returned this year bigger than ever.
But Amanda has now bagged BBC gameshow The Inner Circle, and her new reality show Cheat: Unfinished Business begins this month on Netflix.
Amanda And Alan’s Greek Job is teed up for next year on the Beeb, for whom Alan is also making new seasons of quiz Picture Slam and talent show Interior Design Masters.
Here’s hoping no tiffs scupper their Netflix plans.
LACEY'S TEARS FOR REAL
LACEY TURNER has been taking a break from after giving birth to her third child â but has revealed the pregnancy was far from easy.
Not because of the baby, but for having to film the exit scenes for ’s Martin Fowler, crushed to death at the Queen Vic in the soap’s 40th anniversary episode.

, who plays Stacey Slater in the BBC One soap, told star on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast: “It was hard because , like brother and sister. I felt like he had died â every tear that came out of my eye [while filming] was genuine sadness, I didn’t rehearse it.
“It was weird, I spent the end of my pregnancy really sad.”;
MILANKA SERBS UP LAUGHS
TENSIONS between three generations of women in one house inspire a new comedy series from star Milanka Brooks.
A TV adaptation of her solo stage show, Mum And I Don’t Talk Anymore, will be set in the north of England and draw on Milanka’s experience with her and gran and their Serbian heritage.

Two other actresses are set to play Milanka and her gran, and she her mum.
Milanka, who was also in royal parody The Windsors as Princess Svetlana, told the British Comedy Guide the show is about “the clash between the rigid culture of the grandmother, slight assimilation from the mother, versus the daughter born and bred in the UK.”;
RAGS TO CATWALK RICHES
IT’S revolutionised the way we shop for clothes, loved by fashion-forward types up and down the land â and now online store Vinted is poised to work magic on TV.
is being teed up to front a global version of the BBC fashion-design talent show Style It Out, as contestants upcycle and rework pre-loved clobber from Vinted.

But the new show, Slay the Runway, could end up going to a streaming giant such as Amazon Prime as viewers tune in for some style inspiration.
The contestants, from around the globe, will aim to create designer pieces that could end up showcased on the catwalks of London Fashion Week.
I wonder if they will have to pay the shipping and buyer protection fee on every Vinted item they use?
FRAYS ACROSS WORLD
MOST of us could barely spend a minute with our ex.
But one brave divorced couple are doing a good deal more than that â taking on together.

The latest edition of the BBCâOne series,starting on April 23, will feature once-married Yin and Gaz, along with two sisters, a pair of teenage lovebirds and a mother and son.
The Great Wall of China will be the starting point before the teams cross through Nepal into India and battle on to the finish in Tamil Nadu, on the country’s southern tip.
The show, where the contestants must make their way without bank cards or smartphones, had to dodge China in 2024 because of travel restrictions still in place from the pandemic.
Let’s hope Yin and Gaz ended on good terms, eh.
