ARSENAL fans were spotted already wearing Champions League WINNERS shirts.

So confidence was high ahead of Brentford's Premier League trip to North London.

In a picture shared by the Prem's official Instagram account, two fans have “CL WINNERS” on their backs.

Unsurprisingly, it caused outrage online with even Gooners struggling to defend the cocksure supporters.

One said: “This is exactly why no one likes them.”

Another added: “They’re brave.”

OneGooner joked: “Nah our fanbase can be annoying sometimes.”

Another said: “The type of thing you just don't do... setting yourselves up for potential disaster.”

Those Arsenal fans may be biting their fingernails if the Brentford match is anything to go by.

Thomas Partey's opener was cancelled out by Yoane Wissa to drop more league points –

left out , and Myles Lewis-Skelly – but Arteta said his team's minds were not focused on Madrid.

He said: “The way we did the game certainly not. The way the feeling was with the players, certainly not.

“To prepare well you have to play as well as possible and win the next game.”
