And the Spaniard has received what many superstitious fans may consider a good omen in the build-up.

Slavko Vincic – the man who officiated the last match between Arsenal and PSG back in October – will be the referee tonight.

The Slovenian did not have much to do last time out at the Emirates, only handing out yellow cards to and Fabian Ruiz.

PSG have massively improved since then, with the likes of , Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia all on top form.

However, the Gunners have reason to be confident following their over reigning champions in the quarter-finals.

Arteta has urged Arsenal fans to create a “special”; atmosphere for the match.

He said: “I tell them [the supporters], and I’m not exaggerating here: ‘Guys, bring your boots, bring your shorts, bring your T-shirts and let’s play every ball together.

“We want to do something special. The place has to be something special, something that we haven’t seen.

“I really hope that everybody that comes to the Emirates and is watching and following us, brings that energy with them.”;
