ARSENAL are open to signing a new forward in January with Gabriel Jesus sidelined following knee surgery.

Shakhtar Donestk youngster Mykhaylo Mudryk was on the north Londoners’ radar in the summer and is still wanted by Arteta.

Elsewhere, the Gunners have shown an interest in World Cup finalist Adrien Rabiot.

The midfielder turned down a move to Manchester United in the summer but has admitted that he is open to joining a Premier League side in the future.

Meanwhile Gabriel Martinelli has reportedly extended his contract at the Emirates until 2027.

Martinelli, 21, was picked up from the lower leagues of Brazilian football in 2019 and he has become an integral part of the team
