Published on April 07, 2025 at 01:42 PM

A joint team from Operation Fansar Yamma (OPFY) and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CPG) was ambushed by armed bandits on April 6, 2025, while responding to a distress call along the Doka-Agama Lafia Road in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The unexpected attack led to a fierce exchange of gunfire, during which two of the assailants were killed.

Zagazola Makama reports that the three military personnel and one CPG member sustained gunshot wounds during the clash.

All four were promptly evacuated to the General Hospital in Tsafe for urgent medical attention.

The ambush highlights the ongoing threats posed by armed groups in the region, despite continued military operations to restore peace and security.
