She totally transformed the white, boring bathroom

She posted her impressive makeover to Facebook group Colourful & Maximalist Home Decor Inspo, where over 427,000 members come together to share creative design advice, tips and ideas.

Laura wrote a heartfelt caption alongside her snaps, telling members: “I’ve just finished the first room in my very white, very blank, new build home and thought some of you might appreciate it!

“My mum passed away suddenly a few weeks ago – she loved pink, bright colours and flowers, so I wanted to create something she would love. I can’t show her the end result, so I thought I’d share it here instead.”

Designer Laura is on Instagram under the username @lauraktimmins, but she also posts her original interior design work to over 3,000 followers on her account @fromblandtofab.

She moved into her first new build home this month, and quickly got to work creating the “colourful, joyous home” of her dreams.

She told Facebook users she'd managed to get her impressive bathroom makeover done in just a few days, making the most of any spare mornings and evenings and that she is “so, so happy with the result.”

What did Laura use?

Laura detailed all the items she used to complete her impressive transformation on her Instagram.

She covered the boring, white walls with House of Hackney's gorgeous bright and busy floral Hollyhocks Spring wallpaper, which cost her £195.

She then added a sophisticated pine trim and some dado rails, which she purchased from Wickes for £70.

Keeping to a beautiful pink colour palette, Laura added a splash of £29.99 bathroom wall paint and £18.99 Satinwood paint (in Rustoleum's shade Heartfelt).

Then, Laura finished off her DIY project with some decorative touches.

She added a delicate pink Lila Pendant glass light shade from The Range, which she nabbed for £6.99.

And she headed to Dunelm to pick up a large circular mirror for £25, a stunning £79.99 sink unit and £45 artificial flowers to brighten the space up even more.

Not scrimping on any finite details, Laura said she added four 200mm legs from B&Q to her unit, which cost £3.50, to make it look like a built-in vanity and hide the pipework under the sink.

And she finished off the room with some brilliant Argos bargains, purchasing a £15 toilet roll holder, £9 towel ring, £8 soap dispenser and £7 blue bin.
