Bauchi to prioritise casual workers in Civil Service recruitment

Published on April 09, 2025 at 02:36 PM

Casual workers in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) across Bauchi State will be given priority when the state begins recruiting 10,000 workers into the Civil Service.

The recruitment will be handled by the State Government, in collaboration with the State Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Office of the State Head of Civil Service, with casual workers being given preference.

This was announced by Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, Chairman of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC), during an interview with journalists on Wednesday.

Muhammad thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for the appointment and pledged to meet the expectations set for him.

He promised that the Civil Service would protect the rights of workers, including career progression, equal opportunities, and other benefits.

He also confirmed that the governor had approved the hiring of 10,000 qualified candidates from the 20 local government areas in the state.

The state employment application portal will soon be launched, allowing eligible candidates to apply.

Muhammed called on all MDAs to cooperate and ensure fairness, equality, and transparency during the recruitment process.
