Millions went to urgent care yesterday with a severe case of secondhand embarrassment after watching a sad video of Ben Affleck reaching new levels of desperate middle-aged man by asking a woman why she unmatched him on the dating app Raya. The woman is 32-year-old “influencer” and actress, Nivine Jay, and she shared the video of 48-year-old Ben shooting his sad shot with her TikTok followers. The video went viral and it’s even more embarrassing than his back tattoo.
In the popular trend of using a young Gia Giudice‘s sad singing to reflect on tragic/funny/awkward moments in life, Nivine posted a TikTok where she looked back on when she matched with Ben Affleck on Raya but then quickly unmatched because she thought his profile was from a catfisher.
“Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on Instagram.”
And then Nivine’s TikTok cut to the creepy video of Ben asking her, “Nivine, why did you unmatch me? It’s me.”
See, this is what happens when Ben lets his lonely peen do the thinking. Nivine is an “influencer” so of course, she’s going to share the video to get more followers and attention. It’s in the influencer bible! But in Ben’s message, he looks like someone’s dad who just got an iPhone for the first time and accidentally made a FaceTime call–Hot. One Twitter user shared the video as well as giving Ben some advice:
I mean, Brandi Glanville is Ben’s age, and she would absolutely do this. Unclear on if this violates the rules of Raya, which we know is very prestigious. The Sun reiterated that it’s “uber-exclusive.” There’s supposedly a long waiting list to get on. Plenty of other celebrities use it like Cara Delevingne, Paul Mescal, Lewis Capaldi, and The Sun suggested that Adele was even toying around with Raya at one point. Rolling In The Deep, indeed!
E! News asked Nivine about her Ben video going viral, and even though the way he says “it’s me” sent a shiver down spines, she defended him against people calling him creepy:
“I’m seeing a lot of comments calling him a creep and l don’t think that’s fair. l wasn’t making fun of him in the video. l was making fun of myself for thinking he was a catfish and it was just supposed to be funny.”
It’s unclear when Ben sent Nivine that video, but she still needs to be careful. Jennifer Lopez is currently getting some attention for hanging out with her ex Ben Affleck. And if this little trick thinks she’s going to steal JLo’s shine, she’s got another thing coming. If Nivine wakes up to find a broken ring light in her bed, she better take it as a direct warning from JLo to step off!
