Benue: Tribunal sacks Sunny Oche as Ado LG chairman, declares Elias Ogbu winner

The Benue State Local Government Elections Petition Tribunal, sitting at the NBA House in Abuja, on Monday nullified the election of Hon Ado Sunny Oche as the Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Area.

The tribunal declared Elias Ogbu as the duly elected chairman of the council.

The tribunal's ruling followed a petition challenging the legitimacy of the local government election in Ado that of the 23 LGAs in Benue State.

DAILY Post recalls that Hon Melvin Ejeh was earlier sacked as Executive Chairman of Agatu Local Government Area.

Following the tribunal’s decision, Napoleon Otache was declared the rightful winner and duly elected chairman of Agatu Council.
