BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s latest hit has just set a new record on Billboard’s Hot 100!
On April 29 local time, Billboard revealed that Jennie’s solo title track “”; had successfully remained on the Hot 100 (its weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States) for a third week. For the week ending on May 3, “like JENNIE”; came in at No. 99.
With this achievement, “like JENNIE”; has now become the longest-charting song sung solely by a female K-pop soloist in Hot 100 history. Even including collaborations, “like JENNIE”; is only the third song by a female K-pop soloist ever to spend three weeks on the Hot 100 (following Jennie’s The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp collab “”; and her bandmate Rosé’s Bruno Mars collab “”;).
“like JENNIE”; also held steady at No. 4 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 6 on the Global 200 this week, in addition to rising to No. 39 in its second week on the Pop Airplay chart (which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States).
Meanwhile, Jennie’s first full-length album “Ruby”; spent its seventh consecutive week on the Billboard 200 at No. 85.
