Croatia’s Bruno Petkovic scored a dramatic late equaliser in extra-time

Brazil thought they had won the match in extra-time after Neymar scored picked the ball up from deep and played two silky one-twos before rounding the goalkeeper and blasting the ball into the roof of the net.

But Croatia fought their way back as they so often do in World Cup knock-out matches and equalised through Bruno Petković’s deflected strike with minutes left on the clock.

Croatia will now take on either the Netherlands or Argentina next week for a place in the World Cup final.
