Published on October 16, 2022 at 11:29 AM

Kwara United have been dumped out of the CAF Confederation Cup by holders, RS Berkane of Morocco.

The Harmony Boys were eliminated on the away goals’ rule.

The Ilorin club won the first leg 3-1 but fell to a 2-0 defeat in the second leg.

RS Berkane opened the scoring through Cheick Quattara on 17 minutes.

Goalkeeper, Adewale Adeyinka’s error allowed El Bahri to score the second goal in the 54th minute.

No Nigerian club has won the CAF Confederation Cup with the now defunct Julius Berger, Heartland and Enugu Rangers coming close in the past.

It was a bad weekend for Nigerian football with Plateau United also eliminated from the CAF Champions League after defeat to defending champions, Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.
