CAF Women’s Champions League: Bayelsa Queens in make or mar clash against TP Mazembe

Published on November 03, 2022 at 12:27 PM

Nigerian champions, Bayelsa Queens will look to bounce back from the defeat to holders, Mamelodi Sundowns when they take on TP Mazembe in their second group game at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League on Thursday (today).

The Prosperity Ladies fell 2-1 to the South Africans in their first-ever game in the competition on Monday.

Another defeat to TP Mazembe will see them exit the competition at the group stage.

Former Nigerian champions, Rivers United failed to progress beyond the group stage at the inaugural edition of the competition last year in Egypt.

Bayelsa Queens will look to avoid the same fate by avoiding defeat against the Congolese.

Domo Okara’s side occupy third position in Group B.

TP Mazembe defeated Wadi Degla of Egypt 1-0 in their first game.
