All the celebs who’ve had butt lift surgery – and those who swear they haven’t claiming ‘it’s my real bum’

IN the nineties and noughties many women feared looking at their backsides and self-consciously asked pals whether their bums were too ‘big'.

Fast-forward to now however, and the ‘mega butt' has become all the rage, with celebs such as proudly flaunting their very round posteriors.

But while some spend gruelling hours at the gym enhancing their backsides, others are risking their lives by going under the knife for the ‘perfect' hourglass figure.

A staggering 40,320 women had buttock augmentation procedures in 2020, according to figures released in 2022 by The Aesthetic Society.

The appeal of a big butt is thought to have been fuelled by the rise of Instagram and the ‘‘, which saw fans desperately trying to replicate the reality TV brood's looks.

The most common bottom-enhancing procedure is the controversial (BBL) which involves injecting fat from other parts of the body into the bottom to give a more rounded or lifted look.

The surgery – which had over 4.4 million searches in 2022, according to The Bulimia Project – carries the highest risk of all cosmetic procedures – with more than one in 4,000 resulting in fatality.

Previously, Flying Eze reported how Brit , with her husband later stating that she had not been properly informed of the risks.

Hayley's death is the just one in a series of tragedies to hit Brits who go under the knife.

In 2024, , 38, died after paying £5,400 for the procedure, as well as a tummy tuck and a boob job.

While mum died in that same year in September after allegedly undergoing the surgery in the UK.

Despite the huge dangers, BBLs are the fastest-growing type of cosmetic surgery, says the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) – and its popularity is increasing by an astronomical 20 per cent year on year.

Naturally, celebrities, too, have fallen victim to this trend – but which famous faces insist their backside is fully natural?

Here, takes a look at the A-listers who've been open about getting a BBL – and the ones who've hit back at the rumours and insist their bums are the result of hard work and the right diet.

Arguably the instigator of the mega butt mania, , 44, has always been at the centre of BBL accusations.

The mother-of-four's butt, world-famous in its own right, is so curvaceous fans have long wondered if the glorious behind is all hers.

But while the face behind has been vocal about getting Botox to keep her youthful glow, the has never publicly admitted to forking out for a BBL.

In 2018, after sceptics raised an eyebrow at Kim’s extra-round rump, the star attempted to prove its legitimacy by getting it X-rayed during an episode of .

The doctor X-rayed ’s breasts first, to show viewers what an implant looks like, and then X-rayed Kim’s backside and held up an image proclaiming: “No implants!”;

In the second part of the series that aired in summer 2021, Kim was asked if she thought her family was promoting unattainable standards of beauty, to which she replied: “No, I don’t.

Much like her sister, , 40, has also stunned fans with over the years, which includes a teeny waist and extra round glutes.

Recently, TV viewers were left convinced she'd had a BBL after .

One eagle-eyed fan shared the moment on a popular Keeping Up With the Kardashians forum, prompting others to weigh in on Khloe's appearance.

“Jesus Christ, Khloe's booty. That thing ain't natural,” one person commented.

“She needs to build some real muscle and ditch the a**,” a second wrote.

Critics pointing out her major body transformation have repeatedly accused the mum-of-two of getting a BBL.

Although Khloe has to enhance her figure, it hasn't stopped skeptics from questioning how she obtained her curves.

The alumnus has maintained that her changing shape was the product of a healthy diet and exercise.

Another instance saw Khloe hitting back at an online troll who insisted they could see ”her implants when stretching” during a workout, E! News reported.

To this, the Good American founder said: ”Lol, silly goose. It's the seam design of the leggings.

”That's so funny, ha! You guys just want to believe anything so bad.”

The mum-of-one, who shot to fame with her song Fancy in 2014, is no stranger to surgery as the hitmaker previously fessed up to a and – but .

Iggy – who , previously told Brisbane's hit105 radio station: “They aren’t my real boobs, but it is my real bum.

“I do have a , I have to work on it – I am never allowed to eat what I want.”;

Iggy said she did not plan to completely change herself, adding: “It's important to remember you can't change everything. You can never be perfect.”

Since , the global superstar has been sharing some revealing snaps of herself.

J-Lo, who filed for divorce from Ben after two years of marriage, has always left many fans not just thirsty – but also wondering whether she's gone under the knife.

The native has always been adamant about having never gotten any surgical alteration to amplify her beauty.

is one of the handful of celebrities who's been vocal about the work she's had done – even going as far as crediting plastic surgery for giving her confidence after .

The 32-year-old superstar, who in October following a ‘'medical emergency’', opened up about the confidence boostin a candid conversation withMariah CareyforInterview magazine.

Cardi spoke to the pop legend about how she used to be bullied for her physical appearance, sharing: “I was also really skinny when I was younger, and in the Bronx, it’s about being thick and having an a**, so young boys would be like, ‘Look at your flat a**. You ain’t got no t**ies.'

“And it would make me feel so ugly and undeveloped.”

After Mariah asked if Cardi felt vindicated now that she's made a big name for herself, the WAP singer admitted: “I feel so vindicated.

“Even when I was 18 and became a dancer, I had enough money to afford to buy boobs, so every insecurity that I felt about my breasts was gone.

“When I was 20, I went to the , and in the urban strip clubs, you had to have a big butt. So I felt insecure about that. It took me back to .

It's not just stars across the pond who have gone under the knife to enhance their figures – our very own has bravely confessed to getting a BBL.

Thelegend, 32, thather body insecurities all started with a comment from a man she was.

“I was already insecure; I didn't have much self-worth or self-esteem,” she explained.

“I remember going on a night out and one of the guys being like, ‘See, if you had t**s like that you'd be amazing,' and my friend had big boobs and I was like, ‘I've got nothing here.'

“I wanted a boob job before I even started puberty.”

Holly admitted she was getting paid well from and at 21, had little in the way of so instead spent it on surgery – and by 2017, she had had three BBLs.

“I was like, ‘I can try and look like a , and life is going to be okay',” she continued.

But it wasn't long before Holly began to regret her decision to get a rounder backside – which she estimated cost enough for ”a ”.

Since with footballer , Holly has dedicated herself to “naturally”; reversing her BBL through .

She has bravely documented the process on TikTok.

“The point is I’m having to live with the saggy deflated bag of jelly I have left for a bum and there’s no way I’m going through more surgery to attempt to fix it so I will live with my mistakes,”; she said.

At just ten months post baby, Holly managed to through exercise.

According to her fitness app Team Fitty, her fitness regime includes a range of walking, , resistance training and intense ten minute tabatas – a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that involves 20 seconds of exercise at maximum effort, followed by ten seconds of rest.

While Cardi B may be feeling more confident than ever with her bigger backside, fellow American rapper and singer SZA recently admitted she regretted getting a BBL.

The 35-year-old, who stunned fans with her earlier this year, called her decision to get the popular surgical treatment “stupid”;.

“I’m so mad I did that s**t,”; she told British Voguelast year.

“I from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid.

“But who gives a f***? You got a BBL, you realise you didn’t need the s**t. It doesn’t matter,”; she continued.

“I’ll do a whole bunch more s**t just like it if I want to before I’m f***ing dead because this body is temporary.

”It just wasn’t super necessary – I have other s**t that I need to work on about myself... I need to get my f***ing together.”

However, SZA did stipulate that she’s not unhappy with the results of her procedure: “But I love my butt. Don’t get me wrong.

”My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much... I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care.

”It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it,” said the winner who got the procedure in 2022.

Although her love for surgery often sparks controversy, remains unfazed.

In November of the same year, the former glamour model, 46, she’d always dreamed of, adding to her already extensive list of procedures.

She said: “I've just had my consultation to get my bum as big as my lips.

“I'm getting it done in January but this time they've got an ultrasound which means it'll be much safer. Get used to the big lips because soon I'm going to have a bubble butt. Wahey!”

The mum-of-five brought her followers along with her as she underwent the treatment – in which 500mls of filler were injected into her buttocks.

Luckily for the , she received the £1,500 procedure for free via an aesthetics expert, who contacted her via .

‘How ridiculous I looked' – Chloe Ferry

Since in 2017, , 29, has become known for her curvy bum which was often the main feature of her selfies.

The lass previously showed off the changes to her body – confessing she had thought going under the knife would solve her problems.

She wrote: “For a long time, I believed that changing my body would bring me happiness but what I really needed, was to change the way I saw myself.”

However, since then, The Geordie Shore legend has learnt to embrace her natural figure, with Flying Eze revealing in February how Chloe had got her after checking into hospital for the procedure.

The MTV star, who , took to Instagram to show off her new backside following the surgery.

In the clip, she admitted: “I can't compose myself, I don't even know what I did.

“I'm more like emotional now than what I was when I had the surgery and I don't even know why this has just like come over it.

“Wow. I don't even know why I feel this emotional because I didn't feel this emotional when I was physically getting the surgery.”

Despite her tears, Chloe made it clear she was happy with the results, stating: “I'm happy about the result, I'm happy, I'm just in shock.”

Reflecting on her previous appearance, Chloe was overcome with disbelief, admitting: “I don't even know why I'm so emotional because I'm so happy with my results.

“But like, I just can't like, look at now, like how ridiculous I looked. I looked like that for so long.

“It's just really, really hit it hard. Like, I can't even.”
