Some viewers think the 32-year-old is a ‘cling on' for JoJo's huge fame

Now alum , 32, has been called out for his blossoming friendship with US singer , 21.

fans were during Sunday's episode over Chris' seemingly “flirty” behaviour towards his co-star, who is in a relationship.

It came after the pair had– and, 24, had realisedwith theITVRacing pundit had backfired.

On Monday, the duo took things a step further as to write messages on each others' hands while whispering in the bedroom.

This prompted some to call out Chris for being a “cling on” to JoJo to take advantage of her fame.

The singer, dancer and actress is hugely popular back on home turf after first finding fame with her family in 2015 series Dance Moms.

One fan has now taken to Reddit to claim: “My theory is Chris is being a cling on to JoJo because she has more for him, knows bigger celebrities that can get him in and different world for him, so he is trying to be pally or whatever with her to get in with her crowd of people to boost his career!

“Where as Ella is a nobody compared to JOJO she can’t give him much exposure so he’s not bothering with her really it’s blatant to see.”

Another argued: “I said exactly this yesterday- he also gives off creepy vibes.”

A third wrote of Chris: “Does he really think this friendship is gonna last in the real world to help him long enough to get access to her celebrity friends and/or opportunities through her?

“What 32 year old man is besties with a 21 year old?”

Yet Chris' loyal fans came out in full force amid the backlash.

One argued: “Or maybe they just get on, she’s good fun and Ella has been nothing but dull so far.”

Another noted: “I do think they just get on as friends I don't think its tactical.”

One then put: “Or maybe they just get on... as friends. As platonic friends showing affection. Stop overthinking it.”

GREAT FRIENDSHIP

Chris' big brother Ben Hughes is another champion of Chris and JoJo's strong bond.

Ben, 33, broke his silence on Monday'sITVdaytime show, which was hosted by, 57, standing in for regular presenter, 65.

After Ben told howalum Chris had dealt with his, 74, “quite well”, talk turned to his brother's closeness with JoJo.

Ben – who is Chris' elder brother and no stranger to reality TV, having spoken out about his battle with testicular cancer on BBC Three series Me, My Brother and Our Balls, has set the record straight.

anchor Kate quizzed: “What's going on there?” to which he replied: “I actually think they have just found a great friendship due to the fact Chris stuck up for JoJo.

“I think JoJo is in a solid relationship, Chris will know that.

“I think they have got each others backs,” to which Kate said: “Quite literally.”

He continued: “There are so many older members of the house, I think they are a couple of the youngest, they have stood up for each other most of the first week.

“They have just bonded really well and they have got a really good friendship which will probably come away from the house.

“It's nice to see.”
