Champions League: Arsenal could be without four key players for Real Madrid clash

Published on April 02, 2025 at 05:19 AM

Arsenal are facing a defensive crisis ahead of the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid next week.

This followed injuries to Gabriel Magalhaes and Jurrien Timber during their 2-1 win over Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Gabriel went down in the first half with what looked like a hamstring problem.

The Brazilian defender was replaced by Jakub Kiwior for the rest of the game.

Timber, who had gone down earlier but continued to play, was also taken off with a knee injury.

Both players are now injury doubts for the crucial fixture against Madrid on Tuesday and are not expected to make the trip to Everton this weekend.

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, is already without Riccardo Calafiori, who got injured on international duty.

Ben White also missed the Fulham game with a setback.
