Champions League: Real Madrid get double injury boost ahead of Arsenal game

Published on March 29, 2025 at 09:54 AM

Real Madrid could have two players back from injury for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Arsenal.

Los Blancos manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has confirmed that he hopes to have Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy available for the game at the Emirates.

“We’re in the process of recovering both Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos for the first leg against Arsenal,” Ancelotti said.

“We are trying to get both of them back.”

Ancelotti is also hoping that Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger, and Vinicius Jr. escape bans from UEFA.

The players have all been accused of ‘indecent conduct’ during Real Madrid's Champions League Round of 16 second-leg clash against Atletico Madrid earlier this month.

“We believe everything was correct, and we hope UEFA makes a decision, but we trust that everything will end well,” Ancelotti said.
