Flair said she had gained ‘clarity and perspective' from her year-long layoff

If Flair wins the match she will become a 15-time world champion and move a step closer to her father Ric Flair who has 16 recognised titles to his name.

But she will be doing so off the back of a punishing 2024, which saw her get divorced from fellow WWE star Andrade and be put out of action for a year with a knee injury.

However, speaking exclusively to SunSport, Flair has revealed how her time away from the ring has given her “clarity and perspective”.

She said: “2024 tried to end me, it really kicked my a** over and over. The time away, the knee injury gave me clarity and perspective.

“And I would choose this again and again. But I did come back feeling like people thought I was coming back older and less than.

“If anyone knows the real me or my character, that was never going to happen.

“Feeling that way, and what I’d been through, I feel like I’ve really owned the injury that could have been career-ending.

“And understandably so that people felt this way.

Flair also spoke about the chances of the WWE coming to the UK for a tour.

She said: “It’s been loud.

“I have always felt the energy and chants and passion for what we do seems on another level.

“We aren’t over-saturated here.
