A DIY whizz has been praised after sharing how to use ChatGPT to help your home and garden renovations.
Robbie, who has been renovating his 1970s home alongside wife Hannah, took to TikTokto explain the clever way you can use the to visualise how your home makeover will look before you even start.
And the best thing is that it doesn't cost you a penny.
“All you need to do is open upon your phone and upload the image that you want to use,” Robbie began his video.
“Now you have to write the prompt.
“The good thing is, is that you can be , or you can actually be quite vague and ask Chat GPT to give you some inspiration.”
Robbie then wrote the prompt: “Using this image, landscape my garden.
“I want you to add in a patio with some garden furniture.
“Add in a BBQ area and include lots of flowers in the garden beds surrounding the garden.”
Once the prompt was written, he hit go and let
“It takes about a couple of minutes to , but just look at what it's generated for me.”
The image result showed exactly what Robbie had asked for, and he was even able to pan around in the picture to see the rest of the garden.
“It is insane. And that has literally taken me two minutes to do!” he added.
He also showed how the tool could be used for interior renovation projects too – demonstrating on one of the bedrooms.
In the prompt, he wrote: “Using this room, make it more modern.
“I want the paint on the walls to be beige, make it cosy, add in a double bed, a bedside table and a lamp.
“Add some curtains and spot lights in the ceiling. Change the carpet to a nice cream colour.”
After hitting go, the image that popped up was a chic, neutral bedroom with all the features Robbie had asked for.
“If you're finding it really hard to visualise how your project might look, this is such a good tool to use,” he added.
“Especially if your garden is looking like anything like ours at the minute.
“It's very hard to visualize how it could actually look.”
With the free version of ChatGPT you get included, but you have to pay to upgrade if you want more.
“But yeah, this is such a fun tool to use,” he concluded.
“Just play around with it and see what results you can get!”
