Picturesque three-bedroom log cabin in seaside town could be yours for just £20,000 – but there’s a VERY annoying catch

A THREE-bedroom home is selling for only £20,000… but it comes with a catch.

The log cabin has been described as an ideal “family”; home.

It boasts a main bathroom along with an en-suite in one of the bedrooms.

But the downside is it will have to be dismantled and moved to a new location by the new owners.

The cabin is currently in the hamlet of South Tehidy, near St Ives, Cornwall, as reported by Luxury Property News.

It is being sold by MAP estate agents.

The listing reads: “A rare and unusual opportunity to acquire a substantial cabin which offers generous family size accommodation.

“On purchase, the new owner will be required to dismantle the cabin within a pre-agreed timescale and re-site it to a location of their choice.

“The cabin has three bedrooms with the principal having an en-suite, there is an L-shaped lounge/dining room and a separate kitchen.”;

It continues: “In addition to the family bathroom there is a separate WC and the property is double glazed.

“The vendors have indicated that all internal fittings will be included within the sale of the log cabin.

“At present the log cabin is situated at South Tehidy and is within a mile of the A30 trunk road.”;

Deals like this have been making headlines across the UK.

Just recently, a three-bedroom bungalow in the village of Merlin’s Bridge, Pembrokeshire, was put up for auction for just £1. The catch?

Severe structural damage, with large cracks visible throughout the property.

Due to the extent of the damage, the home likely requires a full rebuild, and only cash buyers are being considered because of mortgage limitations.

Another similar £1 home in New Milton, Hampshire, offered stunning views and a garage but needed major renovation.

Though appealing on paper, these ultra-low-priced properties often require significant investment to make them habitable.

Then there’s Hartlepool, a seaside town in County Durham where homes are listed for as little as £25,000.

With easy train links to Newcastle and local charm, it’s an option for buyers who are open to relocating.

As rising house prices and tax changes continue to challenge first-time buyers, these lesser known opportunities though not without their challenges, offer a glimpse of hope.
