A NEW study has revealed the most affordable cities to eat and drink, with beers from £1.67 and coffees from £1.03.
Kosovoin southeast Europe came in at the very top, with a restaurant meal costing as little as £4.18.


According to global travel booking platform, Omio, Kosovo is an affordable city for everything from beer to a caffeine pick-me-up.
The research revealed that a beer in Kosovo costs as little as £1.67 and you can grab yourself a cappuccino for £1.02
This is a bargain compared to the UK where a beer will set you back on average £4.80 (and considerably more in many places) and the average price of a coffee is £3.73.
Brits can get to Kosovo's capital of Pristina with direct flights from London, with prices starting from £56 according to Skyscanner.
You can also fly there from Manchester and Edinburgh, with layovers in Genevaand Munich.
Other affordable European cities include Skopje in North Macedonia and Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a meal in a restaurant comes in at under £6.
If coffee is more your thing and your tired of forking out big prices for your morning cappuccino, pay a visit to Rome – where a cappuccino will only set you back £1.30.
Another affordable city is ChiÈinÄu, in Moldova, where one of our reporters recently discovered they were the only tourist.
Coffee in ChiÈinÄu costs under £1.50, while beers cost from £1.28 and restaurant dishes are priced at £6.42.
Also offering affordable beer are Skopje, Pristina, and Sarajevo, where you can grab a 0.5-litre draught for under £2.


At the other end of the spectrum were Oslo, Vaduz, ReykjavÃk, Copenhagen, and Bern, which are the most expensive cities to eat and drink.
