Legia fans welcomed the two teams onto the field with a stunning display from the terraces.

Ultras behind the goal released a mammoth tifo, setting off flares and fireworks.

Smoke billowed out down onto the field and remained there for almost 10 minutes after kick-off.

Fans were quick to moan that they couldn't see the players on TNT's coverage from the Polish capital.

One fan complained on X: “I am trying to watch the game of Legia vs Chelsea but I can't see anything.”

Another said: “I can’t be the only one struggling to see what’s going on in this Chelsea game.”

While a third added: “I can’t even see the match , which kind of stadium is this.”

And a fourth fumed: “Why are they allowed to create smoke like this?”
