I’m a cleaning whizz, using a 15p household item will make your tap shine in minutes

GETTING the kitchen ship shape can be a real chore.

But one cleaning expert prides herself on coming up with clever hacks that save time and money.

The trick involves very little scrubbing

And her latest idea can make your taps shine in minutes for just a few pennies.

For hard-working mum and content creator @cleanwithell_ cleaning is more than just a chore, it’s a way to feel in control and manage anxiety.

She loves discovering and sharing new cleaning tips, tricks, and products, helping her audience find joy in the little things.

Recently she discovered a grubby kitchen nightmare that made her feel seriously gross.

She told her social media followers: “You know when you're cleaning and something gives you the biggest ick possible? Yep, that happened to me when I noticed how much limescale was on my kitchen tap.

“Luckily I have such a good spring cleaning hack to banish the limescale.”

Elle's trick involves Marigold Multi-Purpose Disposable Gloves, which cost just £5.99 for a pack of 40 – meaning each glove is just 15p.

The other ingredient for this hack is white vinegar, a cheap and cheerful staple most of us have in the cupboard.

Elle said: “I'm filling up the Marigold Multi-Purpose Disposable Gloves with white vinegar and tying it round my tap.

“I'm making sure the white vinegar covers all that nasty limescale, and then I can sit back and relax for 15 minutes so it does what it needs to do.”

Elle then removes the glove, gives the tap a rinse and uses a microfibre cloth – she used the Squeaky Clean cloth, also from Marigold.

And she said the results speak for themselves and the tap looks sparkly clean and free of limescale.

The cleaning whizz recently shared another great hack for cleaning the floor that involves a pair of socks.
