I tested three colour-correctors to see if they can help me fake eight hours of sleep

I am in shock beauty buffs rave over 'best mascara ever' that's just £2.99 & gives 'insane' results

COLOUR-correctors felt like a waste of time for me – until I noticed my under-eyes look like a panda’s recently.

So, this week, I put three to the test, to see if they can help me fake eight hours of sleep.

Three concealers: 7 Colour Correct Enhancing Concealer, Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Multi-Use Concealer, and Kosas Concealer.
We put three colour-correctors to the test

BUDGET

17 is one of the best-value ranges

Colour Correct Enhancing Concealer, £3, boots.com: 17 is one of the best-value ranges – you’d be hard pressed to find a one that’s more affordable, and the quality is head and shoulders above anything of a similar price.

I found this corrector much harder to work with than the other two.

It’s thicker so takes a bit more work and can make my under-eyes look cakey if I’m not careful, although I can’t deny it does camouflage my dark circles.

Given it’s cheaper than a coffee, it’s a great one to experiment with if you’re dipping your toe into colour-correcting products.

MID-RANGE

The original version is my favourite budget concealer

Maybelline Instant Eraser Colour Correcting Concealer, £9.99, boots.com: The original version is my favourite budget concealer – even though I hate the sponge applicator, the formula and coverage is unrivalled.

Unsurprisingly, the correcting formula is just as good.

The light-pink hue is perfect for my blue-toned shadows, but it comes in five different shades depending on what you need to counteract.

It applies smoothly, and the sponge (for all its unhygienic flaws) helps control how much product is applied so you don’t overload the delicate under-eye area.

It’s a bargain based on the results it delivers.

LUXURY

Much like the Maybelline, I’ve been a long-time user of the traditional Kosas Revealer Concealer

Kosas Revealer Extra Bright Serum Powered Color Corrector, £26, spacenk.com: Much like the Maybelline, I’ve been a long-time user of the traditional Kosas Revealer Concealer, so I had expectations.

A little goes a really long way and it feels virtually weightless on skin.

It’s also easy to blend out – you can use your finger or a brush – and doesn’t settle into fine lines.

I had to wait a minute or so for it to dry down before applying concealer on top to get bag-cancelling results.

My only criticism is I’m between shades. If they had an in-between shade, this could be my go-to.

PICK OF THE WEEK

The TheraFace Depuffing Wand showed improved firmness of skin and 91 per cent in elasticity

I’M sceptical of beauty devices: they’re only as good as your willpower, as you typically have to use them most days.

So, to pique my interest, it’s got to be good, and the stats behind the TheraFace Depuffing Wand, £125, did just that.

After one use, 79 per cent of people showed improved firmness of skin and 91 per cent in elasticity.

Impressive, right? Just imagine the results after a month.
