AN OLD Airbus plane has been converted into a swish holiday rental – and you can stay the night for just £50.

The Airbus A320, a former Etihad plane from Cardiff Airport, can sleep up to four guests and is fit with a working hot shower and WiFi.

Families of four can enjoy this experience for just £50 a head

It's available to stay from £199 per night and comes equipped with three beds.

A video tour of the pad was posted online to the glee of many holiday goers, who revelled in the uniqueness of the accommodation.

One said: “Definitely need to book a trip for our plane-obsessed daughter”, while another added: “It's not a want it's a need!”

Whilst maintaining the aircraft‘s original body, the inside has undergone a huge revamp with an open plan living space replacing rows of plane seats.

Despite the transformation, owners Apple Camping have taken steps to ensure guests still get an authentic Airbus experience.

In a listing, they described the renovation as merging the “innovation of modern living” with the “legacy of an ex-Etihad A320”.

The cabin doors are still functional, while storage spaces have been branded with Etihad and Air France.

Now, the aircraft also has a full-working kitchen which sits in the galley area, WiFi and a shower.

And with its original 26 windows, the space is flooded with light.

The aircraft has been designed for families, with two single beds and a convertible sofa bed, as well as aisle dolley trolleys for a “dash of novelty”.

It even comes fit with a coffee table and Freeview TV, under “the soft glow of converted overhead compartment lights”.

Ensuring “warmth and comfort” was at the heart of the redesign process, states the listing, adding that the “cozy ambience” is largely down to the new carpet and insulation.

The listing states: “This aviation marvel has been thoughtfully converted into a self-contained sanctuary that retains its majestic air travel charm while introducing comforts and luxuries for a stay that's anything but ordinary.”

World's craziest hotels

This follows Flying Eze's report earlier this week on the world's craziest hotels.

Is This The World's Most Remote Hotel?

IS this the world's most remote hotel?

The Sheldon Chalet is a mountain-top chalet, boasting some of the most impressive Alaskan sceneries and comes with a hefty price tag of $35,000 (£26,000) for three nights.

The five-bedroom chalet is perched on the ridge of the Don Sheldon Amphitheater on Ruth Glacier, Alaska, and can only be reached by air.

The spectacular setting is 6,000ft (1,829 meters) above sea level and was once only accessible by ski-equipped plane.

The mountains, in Denali National Park, are home to grizzly bears, caribou and wolves, and some of the most impressive Northern Light displays in the world.

Included in the minimum three-night stay is helicopter shuttle service, a private concierge, gourmet dining, and activities such as sledding, glacier trekking, and mountaineering.

Across the globe there are some pretty crazy hotels, and On the Beach has given us their top five, from Flintstones-themed to Barbie resorts and even a mini-Amsterdam.

Caves Beach Resort

Have you ever watched the Flintstones? Well, this unique resort in Egypt makes you feel like you're in the Stone Age.

The entire hotel looks like a cave, from the exterior down to the rooms.

In a standard bedroom, you'll find stone walls and floors with animal print bed covers.

The four restaurants are also Flintstones-themed, step over to the Bambam Grill House, Pebbles Teppanyaki, or Wilma Oriental.

Guests can even dress up as their favourite Flintstone characters, so you might even spot Fred on the loungers.

Titanic Duluxe Lara

For anyone who has ever wanted to stay in a hotel and act out the famous Kate and Leo Titanic scene, this is it.

The Titanic Deluxe Lara, in Antalya, Turkey, is a hotel designed in the shape of the famous ship.

There are 586 rooms with a choice of annex rooms, as well as duplex suites, junior suites, colonel suites and admiral suites.

Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel

This hotel is a pink Barbie paradise and feels more like Miami vibes than Ibiza.

It's packed to the brim with art, with galleries, and it even has an on-site tattoo studio for anyone who wants to commemorate their trip.

The pastel-pink pool area with stylish cabanas screams Barbie Dreamhouse.
