Coronation Street star filming FINAL scenes today as they are set to be killed off in shock exit

A BELOVED Coronation Street star is filming his final scenes today as his character is killed off, Flying Eze can reveal.

Popular soap star Colson Smith has been written out of the ITV soap after 14 years of playing Craig Tinker.

The news that actor Colson would be leaving Corrie hit the headlines earlier this year.

Flying Eze then revealed how the character was set to be killed off. leaving the soap star no chance of returning to the cobbles.

Now, that time has come for Colson to bow out of the famous ITV show forever.

Flying Eze can exclusively reveal that the soap star is filming his final scenes TODAY.

A Coronation Street source told us: “It's an incredible emotional day – Colson is going onto set for the last time and wrapping up his scenes.

“It's the end of an era and there will be lots of tears this afternoon.

“He's throwing a huge party later to celebrate his time on the show – he's made an epic playlist and the drinks will be flowing for the cast.”.

KILLED OFF

Flying Eze revealed earlier this month how Colson's character Craig would be killed off in a dramatic storyline that will air thissummer.

A source told us: “Craig has grown up on the street and he’s become part of it so it was a tough decision to make but one that will be worth it.

“PC Tinker will meet his maker in heroic circumstances thissummerand there won’t be a dry eye in the house when it goes out.

“Colson is taking it well and there’s a real feeling that this chapter is closing for him and there are bigger and brighter things ahead.”

SAYING GOODBYE

The actor addressed his exit in an emotional statement earlier this year.

He wrote on Instagram: “Autumnlast year I was told that Craig Tinker's time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025.

“I've loved every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world.

“I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and aroundCoronation Street.

“I've learned pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home.

“I'm excited to play out the exit story for our Craigy. For me, this is the end of the beginning.

“I genuinely can't wait to see what chapter two has in store for me.”

BECOMING A SOAP STAR.

Colson joined thecast of Coronation Streetas Craig Tinker in 2011, when he was just 13-years-old.

Over the years, viewers have seen his character at the centre of various hard-hitting storylines.

This included being bullied as a schoolboy to becoming a policeman and battling OCD.
