Coronation Street star QUITS soap after five years – and last scenes are just months away

ANOTHER Coronation Street star has quit the soap – following months of speculation he had walked.

The news comes amid and mass cast exodus, which has already seen seven big name stars leave the cobbles.

Flying Eze can exclusively reveal that star has made the shock decision to leave after five years.

Sources say that while it was big decision to make, Adam is feeling confident and excited for the future.

Insiders told : “He’s telling people he’s quit, not because he’s had enough of the show but his character hasn't had any decent storylines for ages.

“He's had loads of new opportunities coming his way so he already feels like he's made the right decision.”

Adam, who is just 24, joined the -based soap in April 2020.

He took over the role of Aadi from , who played Dev Alahan's son from 2009 to 2020.

However, Adam has not had a proper storyline for quite some time – leaving both the actor and fans scratching their heads.

The star has only been making occasional appearances on the cobbles for the past year, and just last month he revealed he had been working on a movie away from the ITV show.

Adam re-shared a photo of himself on set with a group of fellow actors, including Hollyoaks star Kirsty-Leigh Porter, who plays Leela Dexter on the E4 soap.

The pair are starring in new movie called Spice for Life, with Adam playing character Sully.

Alongside the photo, Adam wrote: “Was great working with these lot.”

Last summer he sparked speculation among fans that he had secretly quit the show after posting about yet another acting project.

The TV star announced last July that he was set to star in a new film called Denial, which focuses on theme of men’s mental health.

Adam shared stills from the upcoming movie, which immediately got fans speculating that Aadi had left the cobbles.

“Is that why you’re not on Corrie though?” asked one fan at the time.

SHOCK EXITS

Flying Eze previously revealed how Coronation Street bosses have been forced to make cuts in a desperate bid to save the cash-strapped soap.

This means that a number of stars have either been axed or have abandoned the long-running show.

Last month, bid the cobbles farewell after 25 years of playing Eileen Grimshaw.

The fan favourite after telling bosses last year that she wanted to leave.

Sue's final on-screen appearance will air in the coming months.

Others, however, were not given a choice.

The news was broken to him last summer and he has since confirmed his character will be written out of the soap this year.

In November 2024, Flying Eze also revealed that on the cobbles.

Meanwhile, original Aadi star Zennon stepped away from acting completely when he left the soap before Adam stepped into his shoes.

He initially made the decision to depart the show to focus on his A Level studies.

Zennon has now swapped his acting career for a brand new job as a management accountant at REFY.

In 2021, he even opened a Depop store in order to sell his unwanted designer threads.
