I moved into a council house but it looks like an animal has lived in it – it’s covered in dirt, grime and chewing gum

A MUM has revealed how she was left horrified after moving into her council house, only to discover it was covered in grime, dirt and even chewing gum on the walls.

Ell Warren took to to share a video of her moving into the property, revealing that she “wouldn’t even move her dog in.”;

In the video, shared with her 117,200 followers, she explained that the house was left in such a state that she feels she can’t move her children into it until it has been thoroughly cleaned.

She also revealed that she had to ask the , before explaining that two children had lived there with their mum previously.

While speaking to the camera, Ell showed the rooms that were making her feel “physically sick.”;

She panned the camera around her bedroom walls, which had chipped paint, before adding: “How dare you treat it [the council home] with such f**king disrespect?”;

Ell stressed that she was fortunate to have been and, while she appreciated the efforts the council made to fix the property, she still had to address the plastering herself.

She added: “It's going to cost me a fortune.

“I'm grateful enough to have the house.

“But the fact that someone else has given this, probably in the most beautiful state, and has left it like this, it makes me feel physically sick.”;

Her video, which was posted three days ago, has received 90.9K views and 329 comments.

Many people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “Can’t lie I spend pretty much all day cleaning but my walls are embarrassing.

“Kids keep putting hands all over them and drawing.

“Joys of having kids I guess.”;

A second added: “Ours was so bad the actually gave us £350 towards doing it up.

“I was really grateful obviously but it didn’t touch the sides lol it was horrific. Five years on, still little bits to sort out.”;

A third said: “Trust me, some don’t care. My walls were filled with holes with double wallpaper.

“On some walls they only pulled off one layer to check, and that left it in a right mess.”;
