Two teams in the running to sign unemployed Cristiano Ronaldo after Man Utd axe including £173million offer

TWO TEAMS are reportedly in the running to sign free agent Cristiano Ronaldo and have put offers on the table.

The 37-year-old legend is plotting his next move after being released by Manchester United following a bombshell interview with Sun columnist Piers Morgan.

Cristiano Ronaldo has two offers on the table from the Middle East

The forward claimed he felt United had “betrayed”; him and revealed he had “no respect”; for Erik ten Hag.

Things did not improve for him during the World Cup as he was also shunned by national team boss Fernando Santos.

After starting all three group matches, Ronaldo was confined to a role coming off the bench in the knockout stages.

The former Real Madrid star was upstaged by Goncalo Ramos, who took his chance to score a spectacular hat-trick against Switzerland in a 6-1 win.

That left him to start as a sub again in the quarter-final before being unable to change the game after coming on as they were beaten 1-0 by Morocco.

Now, while he continues to keep in top physical condition, he is deciding on his next club but there has been a serious lack of “viable”; offers from top European clubs.

As Sun Sport previously revealed, The Times have stated that he has an offer worth £173million on the table from Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr.

They also claim that he is “expected to join them”; – although Sun Sport understands he has not accepted a contract from them yet.

This fresh update also states that he has another deal on the table to move to the Qatar Stars League.

However, “though the financial terms on offer are understood to be inferior to those presented by their Gulf neighbour and rival”; in Saudi.

The former Real Madrid and Juventus frontman is tipped to make up his mind within days with him preferring to stay in Europe.

Chelsea and Ron’s old club Sporting Lisbon were rated as possible destinations before Portugal’s disappointing World Cup.

Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Juve have been mentioned since the summer but none of the above have been forthcoming since his release.
