DENISE Van Outen has unveiled her second major career move away from TV presenting – having confirmed her return to music.
The actress and singer, 50, presented and starred in the musical Chicago on Broadway and The West End.



In an exclusive interview with Flying Eze's TV Mag, Denise revealed her next project in an exciting career move.
She shared: “I’m writing a sitcom – I’ve included some of my friends in it and they’re up for it. We shoot the pilot this summer.”;
It comes as Denise – 22 years after her first album.
The star told TV Mag: “I DJ so I’ll be doing lots of festivals, and I’ve got an album out of covers and new songs.
“All the songs are relevant to a point in my life – it’s basically the soundtrack to my autobiography, A Bit Of Me, which will eventually be a stage show in 2026.”
In April 2003, Denise released an album titled Tell Me on a Sunday with the record label Polydor.
Elsewhere, Denise is fronting the show Secrets of the Supermarket Buyers.
This format sees her examine how a small group of people influence what millions of Brit shoppers buy every day.
The star meets with current and former buyers from the nation's biggest supermarket chains, while learning how they decide what to sell to the nation's consumers.
Secrets of the Supermarket Buyers will air on Channel 4 on Monday, April 14 at 8pm.
She has also presented other consumer series such as Secrets of the Middle Aisle and Secrets of Supermarket Own-Brands.
She added: “I’m doing another series for C4 helping families cut their bills, then I’ll be Goggleboxing with again – we’re just looking at dates.”
Denise and former Big Breakfast co-star Johnny, 58, after years of not talking to each other.
Their working partnership â and their once close friendship â ended in 1999 when a pay row ultimately caused Denise to quit the series.

Speaking of what happened, Denise explained to in 2017: “At that time we were like brother and sister. We were best friends – unbreakable.
“The whole relationship fell apart when we started to renegotiate our contracts because I always felt we worked together as a team and that’s how it should be.
“We created it together. Not just us but the rest of the team working on the show. I always had that mentality that it was about all of us.
“But Johnny – and I know there are other influences involved, and agents and everything – he was negotiating separately from me, which I found out and obviously confronted him.
“I realised then at that point that our friendship had gone in two different directions and for me it was tarnished.”;
Fortunately, the two and have teamed up on Celebrity Googlebox since last year.
