HARVEY ELLIOTT scored the winning penalty as Liverpool avoided a Carabao Cup scare against plucky Derby.

Paul Warne’s League 1 side took the Reds all the way to the end after Jurgen Klopp put out a young and much-rotated Liverpool team.

Derby put up a fight and took Liverpool right to the end of this third-round tie

After both teams failed to make their chances count in the 90 minutes.

And penalty specialist Caoimhin Kelleher proved to be the king of the spotkicks again as he repelled Derby’s penalties before Elliott winning conversion.
