ALDI has issued a “do not eat” warning over a staple food that could pose a serious health risk.
The product contains milk, which is not mentioned on the label by the discount supermarket.


This means it is a possible risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The recall affects the Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter, with best before dates being on Saturday (April 12).
Aldi said: “Our supplier is recalling Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter because it contains the allergen milk which is not listed on the packaging.
“Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
“We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation.”
It comes after an urgent recall was last week also issued , due to it containing milk and soya – not disclosed on the packaging.

Anyone who has bought the product and has an allergy to milk, milk constituents, and/or soya,, therecommends.
Instead, they should return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Meanwhile, a chocolate bar is also being recalled due to fears it contains “metal fragments”.

Customers who have already bought the chocolate have been urgently advised to return thefor a full refund.
The supermarket giant said: “If you have purchased the above product with the affected batch code, please do not consume this product and instead return it to any Sainsbury’s store for a refund.”
