EASTENDERS' new Vicki Fowler actress has a famous film star dad – but do you recognise him?
Alice Haig upon the character's return to Albert Square.



As well as a new face, Vicki also has a new partner, Ross (Alex Walkinshaw), who is joined by his son Joel (Max Murray).
It would appear acting runs in Alice's family – with her dad being actor and playwright David Haig.
David, 69, has achieved several notable credits throughout a near five decade career.
He played affable Bernard Delaney, one of the grooms in classic rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral.

More recently, David appeared in the BBC spy thriller , portraying Bill Pargrave.
This character primarily appeared in series one, where he was a MI5 associate to Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh).
Some of David's other credits include the first film and a regular role in Sky One political thriller COBRA.
As for daughter Alice, she has become the fourth actress to play Vicki Fowler.
The character had last appeared on the BBC soap in 2004, played by Scarlett Alice Johnson.
Despite Vicki only returning for her uncle Martin's (James Bye) funeral, spoilers suggest.
Scenes yet to air reveal Ross makes it his mission to persuade Vicki they should stay in Walford longer than planned.
This comes about after her partner receives a mysterious phone call.
He proves hellbent on keeping Vicki in Walford, despite her having booked flights home.
Speaking upon being cast, actress Alice said: “I am so excited. I have always watched the show, and I was born in February 1985, so I’m the same age as EastEnders!
“It’s so cool to be playing a character like Vicki – we think we know her, but a lot has changed.
“I can’t wait for all the Albert Square drama ahead.”
