EastEnders fans only just realising they’ve seen Sonia’s dad Terry before – did you recognise him from iconic role?

EASTENDERS fans have been left stunned after clocking where they’ve seen Sonia’s dad Terry Cant before – and it turns out he played a major role in one of Britain’s most iconic sitcoms.

viewers were doing double takes as they realised actor Glen Davies, who rocked up as the long-lost dad, is actually a household name from classic TV.

This comes after her sister Bianca Jackson () had secretly appeared on a true crime podcast to discuss Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) and she noticed someone lurking nearby.

fans were left gobsmacked when he revealed he was the long-lost Terry Cant finally – nearly 30 years after his name was first dropped.

Now, the former flame of Carol Jackson () and dad to Sonia Fowler is determined to make up for lost time.

But does he have ulterior motives?

Terry had never been seen on screen until now – even though he was first mentioned way back in 1995.

Meanwhile, Glen Davies is no stranger to soapland, having popped up in as a stern Enforcement Officer and in as Silas Jukes.

He even played a Walford Gazette journo in earlier Enders episodes – but now he’s making headlines of his own.

Fans of the BBC have also recognised Glen from the much-loved kids CBBC TV show, Bear Behaving Badly.

Glen portrayed Andy Streich in the British children's sitcom, which starred CBBC's Barney Harwood and Nev the Bear, and ran for four seasons from 2007 to 2010.

Taking to a Reddit fan forum, one user posted a photo of Glen with Nev and wrote: “Real OG’s know him from somewhere else.”

Another replied: “I knew it was him!!!”

A third added: “Key childhood memory unlocked, mr prank, he really did hate that BEAR.”

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am.
