Easter: Trump vows to defend Christian faith, champions Jesus’ divinity, resurrection

Published on April 14, 2025 at 10:37 AM

US President Donald Trump has issued an Easter week message promising to defend the Christian faith and championing Jesus Christ’s divinity and resurrection.

In a lengthy Palm Sunday message released by the White House on Sunday, Trump called Jesus Christ the “living Son of God,”; who conquered death.

Trump said: “This Holy Week, Melania and I join in prayer with Christians celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ — the living Son of God who conquered death, freed us from sin, and unlocked the gates of Heaven for all of humanity.

My Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government.

May God bless you and your family during this special time of year.”

Meanwhile, after Trump survived an assassination attempt on his life last year, he confessed his faith and declared that he was saved by God.

Last Friday, the White House hung a painting showing a bloodied Trump pumping his fist in the air during the attempt on his life last July.
