WITH Easter right around the corner, millions of households are already planning trips to the nearest supermarket to stock up on all the essentials.

And this year is no different, as two of the biggest discount stores – and – are also offering in the veggie aisle.
But when do the ”veg shop wars” start? And when is the exact date you can expect to find carrots and parsnips going for as little as 15p?

Easter Super Six includes all the Easter favourite vegetables shoppers need which will be available in stores from April 15 to 19 and until April 20 in .
Bargain hunters will be able to get their hands on two kilos of for just 15p.
One kilo bags of carrots, broccoli, 100g onions and loose garlic will also be 15p over the four-day window.
Cash-savvy shoppers can also pick up fresh cucumbers for just 59p each.
Rival Lidl is also set to cut prices on a host of veggies next week, and popular staple items such as , spuds and green beans.
The deal will include:
- Carrots (1kg) – 15p
- White potatoes (2 kg) – 15p
- Green beans (220g) – 15p
- Swede (per item) – 15p
- Parsnips (500g) – 15p
- Spring onions (per bunch) – 15p.
This means you do not need to worry about your vegetables going off before the big day.

From Wednesday 16 April to Sunday 20 April, shoppers can snap up a range of Sainsbury's veggies for just 15p.
The 15p essentials include White Potatoes (2kg), British Parsnips (500g), British Swedes and British Carrots.
There is one caveat.
The deal is only available to holders so shoppers will need to make sure they have a Nectar card in order to cash in on this bargain.
