Elon Musk’s DOGE uncovers three states with most fraudulent unemployment claims

Tech billionaire, Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency has announced that California, New York, and Massachusetts accounted for most improper unemployment claims in the United States of America.

DOGE disclosed this on Thursday in a statement on X.

It said that three states accounted for most unemployment claims since 2000, totalling $305 million in benefits.

According to DOGE, California accounted for 68 percent of unemployment benefits paid to parolees identified as terrorists or with criminal records.

“California, New York, and Massachusetts accounted for most of these improper claims, totalling $305M in unemployment benefits.

“Additionally, California accounted for 68% of the unemployment benefits paid to parolees identified by CBP on the terrorist watchlist or with criminal records,” DOGE stated.

Recall that since Trump's second term presidency, DOGE has probed several federal departments and agencies to cut costs.
