England announce Raheem Sterling is not available to play against Senegal with winger ‘dealing with a family matter’

RAHEEM STERLING is not available for England’s World Cup clash with Senegal as he is dealing with a family matter.

The Chelsea forward, 27, has been a mainstay in the national team ever since Gareth Southgate took charge back in 2016.

Raheem Sterling is not available for the game against Senegal

But he will play no part in their last-16 game on Sunday evening, the FA have now confirmed.

Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka are set to start on the flanks for England – with Marcus Rashford expected to miss out.
