EPL: Date Liverpool could be confirmed champions after 3-2 defeat to Fulham

Published on April 07, 2025 at 05:00 AM

Liverpool could be crowned Premier League champions by May 4, despite losing to Fulham on Sunday.

Arne Slot's men were beaten 3-2 at Craven Cottage, their first away defeat of the campaign.

The result also brought an end to the Reds' 26-match unbeaten run in the league.

Alexis Mac Allister gave Liverpool the lead, before the hosts turned the game on its head with goals from Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi, and Rodrigo Muniz.

Luis Díaz pulled a goal back, but the league leaders failed to find an equaliser.

Liverpool now need a maximum of 11 points to be confirmed as champions, with their nearest rivals, Arsenal, still that many points behind.

The earliest they can achieve this is on May 4, provided they beat West Ham, Leicester City, Tottenham, and Chelsea in their next four games.

That run of results would see them claim the title with a win at Stamford Bridge.

However, their title could be confirmed much earlier if Arsenal drop any points in their next four outings.

The Gunners face Brentford, Ipswich, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth in their upcoming league fixtures.
