EPL: Fabrizio Romano reveals Osimhen won’t join Man Utd, Chelsea

Published on April 26, 2025 at 01:00 PM

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has claimed English clubs cannot afford Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen is currently on a one-year loan deal at Galatasaray from Napoli.

But the Super Eagles striker is expected to leave the Serie A club on a permanent basis this summer.

Premier League teams like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are rumoured to be monitoring Osimhen.

But Romano has claimed the player's wage demands could be a huge barrier to any deal being struck.

“He wants the same salary he's earning at Napoli — €12m net, plus commissions and his €75m release clause,”; Romano has said on his YouTube channel.

“No English club is ready to pay him €12m net.”

Osimhen was very close to signing for Chelsea last summer, after the Blues struck a loan agreement late in the transfer window with Napoli.

However, the transfer fell through, because Chelsea were unwilling to break their wage structure for Osimhen.
